Meet
NSNA's New President
Yvette S. Thomas was elected president

April. Yvette brings a wealth of leadership experience to her
new position, and says that she realized that nursing was her
calling when she found that “it was the doctors who diagnosed,
but the nurses who healed.”

Your Study Tips with NSNA
How did you get through this past semester of school?
Did you use flashcards to get through those final exams? Did you
exercise or do yoga before attacking your textbooks? Do you study
better by yourself, in groups, or do you combine methods?
What about
any wellness tips that you may have picked up along the way? Nursing
students have to take care of themselves as they prepare to take
care of others.
Write to us
at nsna@nsna.org

and/or have helped you prepare for the NCLEX-RN®! We’ll
feature them in an upcoming issue of Imprint so that
your fellow NSNA members can benefit from your experience!

Case Study Series

Analysis, Judgment,
Decision-making, these elements are fundamental to nursing. The
umbrella term “critical thinking” is fashionable for
discussion of those elements, and it is a great obstacle to becoming
a nurse. Thomson Delmar Learning’s Case Study Series is
the most ambitious attempt to bridge the gap between content knowledge
and clinical application. By simulating the actual decision-making
process, learners gain a comfort level to make informed clinical
judgments that will help them become successful nurses. Thomson
Delmar Learning’s Case Study Series shortens the distance
between the classroom and nursing practice like never before.
