Milady
Awards Educator of the Year at the
14th Annual CEA Convention
Milady and The Cosmetology Educators
of America (CEA) have named Ms. Laura Wallman, as the Nicholas
F. Cimaglia Educator of the Year at the 14th Annual CEA Convention
in Orlando, Florida. Laura is the Cosmetology Director at PJ’s
College of Cosmetology in Plainfield, Indiana.
Laura Wallman has been the Cosmetology Director at PJ’s
College of Cosmetology in Plainfield, Indiana since February
1993. She oversees all of the public high school vocational
programs and is accountable for four area vocational school
departments and the superintendents. Laura has dedicated her
professional life to being a devoted teacher. She has enjoyed
her 37 years in the cosmetology industry and has owned and
operated her own salon. In April 2008, Laura completed the
Milady’s Career Institute program and earned her Master
Educator certification.
The Educator of the Year Award is given annually to one educator
who exhibited the most significant contribution towards upgrading
professional standards of educational excellence, particularly
within the area of student involvement, during the past year.
It is co-sponsored by CEA and Milady.

Guidelines
As you are probably aware, NIC is a not-for-profit organization that
represents all of the fifty state boards of cosmetology in the United
States (plus the District of Columbia and Guam). NIC is also the
organization that prepares the licensing examinations used by many
of these boards to license Nail Technicians and Manicurists. By cooperating,
you will contribute to the growth and development of the cosmetology
profession. On behalf of the NIC, we want to extend our appreciation
for your involvement in this important project.
Rules:
All responses are valued and essential, and the opinions expressed
in the survey will be kept completely confidential. In addition to
making a contribution to the profession, four $75 CASH PRIZES will
be awarded to randomly selected participants!

end of the survey. Please make certain all responses are to your

- Incomplete
