Meet Jane and Tammy from Choices Salon. They held a client appreciation event and with 4 team members produced over $9,000 in 4 hours!
Jane and Tammy from Choices Salon have been holding an annual event for the past five years to show client appreciation. They offered 25% off products and services for one night a year. They loaded up on some special gift products such as lotions and nail polishes and pedicure kits all about $20 in value. Their supplier gave them a large reorder at 25% discount to restock what we sold and provided five $100 gift baskets and various prizes.
Their theme was Vegas. Every attendee received a free travel pack provided from their supplier. The team bought and prepared food for about $200.00. And they moved out salon furniture and put in chairs.
Two mailers were sent about 10 weeks before event. 10 weeks prior to the event clients started signing up to come. Reminder calls were made and orders were taken from those that could not attend.

They had $2900 in preorders and $6,277 in sales. On the night of the event a total of $9177!!!!! They even raised $820.00 for charity!

Milady Textbooks Help Salon Owners to Develop Year Long Apprenticeship for Cosmetology Students
Ginger and Brian
Pendley of Anazao Salon created a yearlong apprenticeship program for
cosmetology students called FirstWorks. They created their curriculum
with the help of Milady’s Cosmetology Standard Textbook! In
FirstWorks the student prepares a service they are allowed to perform
on guests which affords them the opportunity to grow their clientele.
The other part of the program is the Polishing Program for cosmetology
graduates. This program lasts for six months. Once the cosmetology
graduate completes the Polishing Program they can become a Junior Stylist.
The training program Ginger and Pendley started has had amazing impact
on the business. Because of this program, new stylists are offered
more training and new opportunities!
